Healthy Habits To Live A Life That Feels Good

Wellness

There are so many healthy habits we can partake in to live a life that feels good but I want to share 8 with you that are tried and tested because they are what I actually do. Let’s dive in…

1. Drink water and mind your own damn business

This is two-fold so let’s start with the latter… Spending time concerning yourself with other people’s lives takes up energy. Focus on your own shit and what you have going on. OK so onto water. There are times when I’ll wake up in the morning and I start coughing because I’m so freaking dehydrated, which is what happens when we sleep – we get dehydrated. One of my new habits is drinking a cold (yes cold) 250ml glass of water with lemon each morning. This helps to wake me the heck up, flush out toxins and shock my system in a way. Aim to drink at least one litre of water per day. There are super cool reusable water bottles you can buy to keep you on track.

2. Masturbate and feel the glow

Anytime I masturbate I feel this glow come over me… there is nothing wrong with pleasing yourself and it will actually help your sex life as you’ll get to know and understand what you like. Orgasms help to relax the body and bath us in endorphins and oxytocin (the feel-good hormones) that can support a good night’s sleep and provide a boost of energy! Also, it has the ability to improve heart health as, like exercise and sex, it gets your blood pumping.

3. Fall in love with the process of life

The highs, the lows, the bad times, the good times. The struggles, the challenges, the opportunities, the blessings and everything in between. Life is what you make it and even when things are not so great or don’t exactly go according to plan there is always something to learn and be grateful for.

4. Practice gratitude daily

There is always something to be grateful for regardless of how big or small it may seem. Whilst it’s important to show gratitude for what you have, it’s equally important to not feel bad or greedy for wanting more for your life. What are the things you’re grateful for? Make a note of them every day as it can be super easy to disregard or not pay attention to the things that contribute to living a life that feels good.

5. Laugh often

I don’t give a damn what your laugh may sound like. When you find something funny. Laugh your ass off. I laugh so freaking much and it’s not out of nervousness it’s out of pure joy and gratitude for the conversations I may have, the things I may read or see and so on. Alongside this, laughter helps to reduce stress and releases endorphins that promote an overall sense of well-being. Who doesn’t want more of that in their life?

6. Take time out to be still through meditation

A vast majority of the time life can be like “go, go, go”! Take the time out of your day to just be still. No judgements, fuss or expectations. Breathe deeply and be present in the moment. When thoughts flow around in your mind, acknowledge them and, when you’re done, bring your focus back to your breath. Consistent meditation will help to improve your mood over a period of time.

7. Step outside of what you know

Find yourself doing the same damn things all the time? Step outside of what you know and do something new to add some spice to your life, Queen. Now I’m going to give you a challenge. Think of at least three things you’ve been wanting to do, try or buy and make a commitment to live them out in full within the next seven days without any excuses. Repeat the process and become acquainted with spicing up your life on a regular basis.

8. Find an exercise that you enjoy

Exercise can seem like a pain in the ass but one of the best things you can do is find something you love doing. I’m part of Ciara London’s Body By Ciara Squad and it’s freaking amazing! There is something for more or less everyone and the energy, vibes and music Ciara and her team bring to each session means I can workout several times a week from the comfort of my own home! Alongside this, I’m a Yoga Junkie and studying to become a qualified yoga teacher (watch this space) so do yoga every single day as well as other workouts – yeah I’m a bit of a nutter on that front.

So what are your healthy habits that help you live a life that feels good? Are you going to try anything new?
